How to make the perfect cup of tea

If having a nice cup of tea on your break is an essential part of getting through the working day, you’ll be interested in the result of a research project from the University of Northumbria.

180 hours of testing, and 285 cups of tea drunk in the lab have found the formula for the perfect cuppa – and patience is essential. Tea should be left to brew for two minutes, and then left to stand for another six minutes until it has reached its optimum temperature.

Unfortunately, the study does not solve the age-old battle of milk first vs milk last….
