Owner sacks herself to save workers’ jobs

In a story to warm all our hearts, a small business owner in Florida chose to cut her own job rather than laying off any of her staff. Lola Gonzalez managed nine staff, and the recession forced her to cut wage costs.

She told all the workers how much  she valued them and couldn’t bear to let them go.  Gonzalez still owns the company but is using her old salary to keep her staff on.

Not sure if we would ever see such selflessness from bank board members…
