Be there for fairness!

Finsec President Kelvin Pycroft says that every Finsec member who possibly can should make it to one of the rallies for fairness on Saturday 21 August.

“The changes that government proposes – including extending the 90 day fire at will period to all workers, a sick note after just one day, and preventing workers accessing their union when they need it – will be disastrous for workers in our industry,” said Kelvin. “We need to do everything we can to send a message to government that we need fairness at work.”

“The rallies will have music and entertainment,” said Kelvin. “Get along, and bring your friends and family.”

The rallies are on Saturday from 1-3 at the following venues:

Auckland QE2 Square (bottom of Queen St, opposite Britomart)

Wellington Civic Square

Christchurch Cathedral Square

Just to be different, Dunedin folk are gathering at 11 am at the Dental School on Great King St, and marching to rally at the Octagon.
