Siesta from hard sell

While the traditional siesta is a thing of the past for most Argentinians, it is making a comeback for financial workers in Buenos Aires. A “Siestario” or Siesta Zone recently opened with soft lighting, ambient music and calming fragrances to help customers power nap for around 40 minutes.

“I work in sales and there’s constant pressure to sell,” said Albana, who works in a call centre. “At some point, you need to take a timeout.”

We are waiting to hear if the banks and insurance companies in New Zealand will be following suit……
