ANZ National bargaining starts next week

Staff at ANZ National bank are looking forward to their negotiations starting next week, but are hoping they don’t suffer the same experience as Westpac members who received an initial zero wage offer.

“We were a bit surprised when we saw that at Westpac and we are hoping ANZ National don’t follow suit, though we are heartened by the bank’s claims which indicated there would be a negotiated pay increase,” said Pamela Kaler from the National Bank Dunedin branch who is a member of the Finsec bargaining team.

“Negotiations are a good opportunity to get the problems we face fixed. Our approach to the negotiations this year is a problem solving one. We have high expectation that staff will be better off at the end of this bargaining round,” said Pamela.

All ANZ and National bank sites are reminded to get the results of their pre-negotiation meetings and their For Fairness posters back to Finsec today. These can be faxed to 04 385 2214.
