Finsec members bargain with Westpac next week

Negotiations with Westpac for a new collective agreement begin next week. Union Council Chair Maxine Mullen has been out talking with members and non-members prior to bargaining, and has recruited 50 new members to our union.

“Our strength at the bargaining table is a direct reflection of our numbers of members,” said Maxine. “Knowing about places like Westpac Katikati, where three new members joined up in response to pre-negotiations, makes our job so much easier.”

Maxine says that membership numbers will be tallied right to the last minute, so the time is ripe to pass a membership form to that new staff member today!
