Business Direct pay increase for all!

Finsec members at Westpac Business Direct have cleared up a “misinterpretation” of last years Collective Agreement settlement which meant that the 1.75% increase to salary scales was only being passed on to covered Finsec members who reached certain performance ratings.

Finsec members have communicated very clearly to the bank that if they are on a given salary step and that step moves, then their salary moves with it. It is not linked to performance ratings. Result of raising the issue: the increase to the salary steps is now being applied correctly to all covered staff, with a number of staff getting increases and back pay as a result.
