PSIS puts forward no claims for bargaining

Last week, Finsec members presented a series of claims to PSIS for bargaining, but PSIS has made no claims. One of the reasons PSIS have given for not proposing to reduce terms and conditions at this year’s bargaining is “that whilst PSIS has been reasonably insulated from the international credit crunch, the impact of the current economic environment economic and rising unemployment on our customers means we’re not immune to the recession”.

Finsec members are welcoming the good news that PSIS do not want to reduce their terms and conditions, but note that staff also have been impacted by the recession. PSIS profits for 2009 were at almost $8 million; a huge improvement from the previous year, and Finsec members say they can afford a fair deal for staff.
