Whack a banker

A new amusement arcade game is providing an outlet for public anger at the role of bankers in the recession. “Whack a banker” gives punters the opportunity to hit pop-up figures of bankers with a mallet.

Inventor Tim Hunkin says the game is proving very popular and that he is constantly having to replace worn out mallets. Despite getting a bashing, Hunkin says “the bankers never really lose. If you win the game a banker’s voice says: ‘You win. We retire. Thank you very much to the taxpayer for paying our pensions.’”
