Support PSIS staff right to negotiate fair pay increases

Finsec President Kelvin Pycroft is calling on Finsec members and friends to sign a petition in support of PSIS staff, who are fighting to retain their right to freely and fairly negotiate a wage increase with their employer. PSIS is proposing to limit all future wage increases to no more than the cost of living. In real terms this will freeze PSIS wages at their current level forever.

“We can get PSIS to back down from their position by sending a strong message that we do not support limits being placed on fair wage increases,” said Pycroft.

You can support this campaign by signing the Finsec petition at the following address http://www.gopetition.com/online/18175.html and encourage friends and family to sign too.

Pycroft said that the PSIS proposal poses significant risks for staff in the rest of the finance sector if other employers follow this lead, and that it rules out any opportunity of PSIS staff catching up with better pay in the rest of the industry. Inflation only increases will also not address rocketing petrol and food costs or rising interest rates.
