Finsec women applauded by union conference for Better Banks

Cathie Lendrum, Alison Wilson and Maxine MullenUnion Councillors, Cathie Lendrum (ANZ National), Alison Wilson (BNZ) and Maxine Mullen (Westpac) are Finsec’s delegation at Council of Trade Union’s Biennial Women’s conference being held in Wellington today and tomorrow.

Maxine Mullen said that the conference had been really good so far and that it was interesting how much women from different industries faced common issues like work-life balance, staffing and bullying. Cathie Lendrum reports that the the conference has been very inclusive and the Finsec delegation has spent a lot of time talking to women form other unions. Finsec delegates received applause from the conference for the role the Better Banks campaign is playing in improving the working lives of women in banks.
