More staff at PSIS is more efficient

David Murray, PSISOne of the key issues that PSIS workers have identified as part of making PSIS a Better Bank is improved staff levels and fairer workloads. New Union Councillor, David Murray, talked to us about how he sees workload and staffing issues in PSIS:

“I can’t really speak for the whole country but for Wellington branch we’ve been a little bit understaffed. It’s been a little bit of a strain on resources. The general consensus in the branch is that we are understaffed and that the workloads at the moment reflect that.”

“Obviously if you have got adequate staff to get the job done to a satisfactory level then staff are a lot more content in their work as well.”

“If you have got the right amount of staff then obviously everyone’s a lot more efficient. Customers don’t tend to suffer and you tend to become proactive, not reactive. And in the work environment you’ve got to be proactive.”
