Last week Westpac announced the appointment of George Frazis as the new Chief Executive for New Zealand. He will be the fourth CEO or Acting CEO Westpac New Zealand has had in the last two years.
Frazis replaces Brad Cooper who was appointed Chief Transformation Offer for Westpac Australia in June. Acting Westpac CEO Bruce McLachlan will resume his position as General Manager, Consumer.
Frazis comes from a strategy role at the National Australia Bank with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.
Westpac Union Council Chair Maxine Mullen said Finsec looked forward to working with Frazis to address issues of key concern to Westpac staff. “We’ve made good progress this year but have outstanding matters in the area of pay and targets that we aim to fix.”
