Talks with PSIS to resolve outstanding issues including pay parity, staffing levels and a 5% pay increase were adjourned last week as the PSIS bargaining team did not have a mandate from their Board to negotiate beyond their previous offer.
The PSIS Board will be meeting on 2 May, ahead of further negotiations set down for 7 May. Workplace meetings which were scheduled to take place this week to vote on the outcome of Friday’s negotiations have been cancelled. These meetings will now be re-scheduled to occur after negotiations on 7 May.
A message that PSIS staff need to join Finsec to ensure the best outcome of bargaining resonated in one PSIS branch, where three new members joined and delivered 100% union membership for the branch.
